CLEARFIELD – On Sept. 25 people with drugs, prescription or otherwise, can drop them off at the Clearfield Borough Police Department.
On Thursday Clearfield Borough Police Chief Jeff Rhone asked borough council for permission to hold the program. The program is for the disposal of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Acording to the it is “no questions asked” and will provide a proper disposal site.
Council approved the request unanimously.
“It’s a very good program,” said Rhone. He told council that he would volunteer his time run the drop-off.
Rhone also said that as of last Thursday, the CBPD was the only department in the county signed up for the program. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
