CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc. is partnering with Clearfield Bank & Trust to offer an exciting factory tours trip to York, PA on Oct. 13. Excite your taste buds as you tour the fascinating Wolfgang Candy Factory. Founded in 1921, Wolfgang Candy is one of the oldest family-owned and managed candy companies in the United States. One of Food Network’s “Top 5 Tasty Tours,” your senses will be on overload as you see, smell, and taste your favorite candy being cooked, mixed, and coated.
Next, we will journey through the Harley-Davidson Vehicle Operations facility. Established as an assembly facility in 1973, this location is the largest Harley-Davidson manufacturing facility, producing the Touring family of motorcycles. According to Harley-Davidson’s website, “This tour offers the chance to watch extraordinary people channel their pride and expertise into machines that capture the imagination. We’ve opened the doors to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to bring a legend to life.”
End the day with an exciting tour through Utz Quality Foods. Watch a raw potato be transformed into a crunchy chip. See and smell the making of the famous Utz Potato Chips and Snacks at their 600,000 square foot facility in Hanover, PA.
The cost of the trip is $65 per person and includes transportation and admission to all attractions. Stops will be made for lunch and dinner. Meals are on your own. There will be three pick-up and drop off sites – DuBois Wal-Mart at 6:30 AM followed by Clearfield Wal-Mart at 7:00 AM, and finally Huntingdon Peebles Plaza and 8:15 AM.
