CLEARFIELD – After months of hospitalization and recovery, Pennsylvania native Bret Michaels proved he still rocks. 
Michaels performed Friday night at the Clearfield County Fair to enthusiastic fans. After a 45-minute late start, the show started with “Talk Dirty to Me”, followed by “Look What the Cat Dragged In,” and the Lynard Skynard cover “Sweet Home Alabama.”
Michaels, who has been diabetic since he was six, recently suffered from a brain hemorrhage and a “warning” stroke. The singer rehabilitated in order to get back on the road by the end of May.
Michaels, who has been the front man for Poison for the past 22 years, has sold 25 million records. He has also led a successful solo career releasing “Songs of Life” in 2003, “Freedom of Sound” in 2005, and “Rock my World” in 2008. Michaels starred in “Rock of Love” on VH1 and was the winner of Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice.
Michaels told the crowd it was performing, and his fans, that helped him recover. A camera man from Michaels crew filmed parts of the concert which will be included in a new show called “Life as I Know It”. The show will air on VH1 in the fall.
