Police Report: PSP Philipsburg

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at 9 West Pine St. Someone broke into the Holt Library by breaking a window along the driveway side of the building. Once inside, several bottles of water and snack bags were taken before leaving out the back door.
Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief in which someone broke the window in the men’s room of the American Legion.
Masahiro Kawahara, 37 of Japan, was transported by helicopter to Altoona Hospital for treatment after he crashed his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle on US Route 322 on Thompson’s Curve in Rush Township. Kawahara lost control while negotiating a left curve in the road and hit gravel. The bike overturned and skidded 100 feet before coming to a stop on the shoulder.
