Police Report: Clearfield PSP

– Police reported a single vehicle accident at 4:20 a.m. Monday along Interstate 80 eastbound at mile marker 121 in Bradford Township, Clearfield County. Matthew Briggs of Markham, IL was traveling east in the left lane, when a left side tire blew.

Briggs subsequently lost control of his vehicle, which traveled off the roadway into the center media. His vehicle then overturned onto its left side, coming to a rest in the left lane. Briggs was wearing his seatbelt and suffered only minor injuries in the mishap.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Bigler-Jackson-Woodland Volunteer Fire Company, Lawrence Township Fire Company and Clearfield County PennDOT.

– Police reported an incident of simple assault at 2:45 a.m. Friday at the Lithuanian Club in Osceola Mills Borough, Clearfield County. A 48-year-old Osceola Mills man was reportedly transported to the Clearfield Hospital for treatment of injuries following an assault. The incident is still under investigation at this time.

– Police reported an incident of harassment at 12:30 p.m. Saturday along Interstate 80 westbound at mile marker 116 in Lawrence Township, Clearfield County. A 21-year-old Halifax man and a 54-year-old Ashville, NY man were traveling west on I-80. The latter man was upset while he was reportedly unable to merge into a single column. He reportedly drove his vehicle alongside the Halifax man and spit on both him and his vehicle. The victim refused prosecution against the man.

– Police reported an incident of driving under the influence at approximately 9:48 p.m. Saturday in the McDonald’s parking lot in Lawrence Township, Clearfield County. A 40-year-old Madera man was allegedly stopped for various vehicle code violations. He was subsequently found under the influence of alcohol. Charges have been filed through district court.

– Police reported an incident of harassment that occurred sometime between 5:40 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. Friday in Curwensville Borough, Clearfield County. A 33-year-old Olanta man allegedly pushed a known individual. He also allegedly struck a second known individual. He has been charge with harassment.

– Police reported an incident of harassment at 6 p.m. July 27 in Bradford Township, Clearfield County. Two Known males allegedly engaged in a physical altercation following an argument along High Street. Charges have been filed through the district court.

– Police reported drug possession at approximately 8 a.m. Friday in Ferguson Township Clearfield County. A 37-year-old Curwensville man was under investigation for a mental health call. However, he was reportedly found in possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, Suboxone and Zanax tablets and Nexium capsules. Charges will be filed through the district court.

– Police reported an incident of harassment that occurred sometime between 4:50 p.m. and 4:55 p.m. Friday in Curwensville Borough, Clearfield County. A 28-year-old Curwensville man allegedly made threats toward a 22-year-old Curwensville man. Charges were filed against the accused.
