Tour de Parks Slated for May 16

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre (CAST) reminds all local bicyclists that the 3rd Annual Tour de Parks is coming fast.Ride options of 5, 15, 22 and 35 miles are available. Both the 22 and 35 mile rides will also take you through Dam State Park.Registration fees are $20 for those 16 or older and $15 for those under the age of 16.CAST is a non-profit cultural organization located at 112 E. Locust Street in downtown Clearfield that provides live theatre, concerts, and classes in the arts.Come join the fun and experience a scenic, leisurely ride through the state parks and the Moshannon State Forest. This is not a race.For additional information call the CAST office at 765-4474 or ride chairman Jerry Stewart at 765-2539. Information is also available on the CAST Web site.

Ride day registration will begin at 11 a.m. The 22 and 35 mile rides begin at noon and the 5 and 15 mile rides start at 12:30 p.m.

Rest stops will be available along all routes.

Local fire police and EMS personnel will be on hand for safety and support. An approved helmet is mandatory for all riders.

In addition to the ride, there will also be a Chinese Auction and door prizes. Food and drinks will be provided. A limited number of ride t-shirts will also be available for purchase.

The bicycle ride, which benefits the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre, is scheduled for May 16, 2010, and begins and ends at SB Elliott State Park.
