Helen N. Blessing, 78 of Clearfield, passed away on April 16, 2010 at her residence.
Born Aug. 31, 1931 in Mt. Union, PA, she was the daughter of Harry B. and Goldie V. (Minick) Blessing.
Ms. Blessing retired from the Clearfield County Board of Assistance after many years of service.
She was a 1949 graduate of Mt. Union High School and was a graduate of the DuBois Business School.
Ms. Blessing was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church, where she had served as a volunteer in various capacities over the years.
She was also an avid genealogist.
Ms. Blessing is survived by a sister in-law, Ruby Blessing of Alabama; a niece, Bonnie Moore of Liberty, MO; a nephew, Tim Blessing of Reading, PA; a friend, Deb Uncles of Clearfield and her special pet, “Peanut”.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Guy and Robert Blessing.
Funeral services will be on April 21 at 12:30 p.m. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield, PA with Rev. Tina Hawkins and Dr. Joleen A. Willis officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde, PA.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on April 20 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of services.
