Obituary Notice: Candace D. Barrett

Candace D. Barrett, age 65, of Home Camp Road in DuBois, PA died on March 21 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born on Aug. 13, 1944 in Renovo, PA. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marjorie (Love) Daughenbaugh.

She was married to George Barrett.  He preceded her in death.

She made her home with George A. Linberg.

She was a homemaker.  She loved playing Cinch.  She enjoyed working on her computer and working on crafts.

She was a member of the Erie Moose and Sportsman Club.  She was a member of the American Legion in both Erie and DuBois, PA, a member of the Polish Citizens Club, the Swedish American Club, and the James J. Patterson Post 813 Veterans of Foreign Wars. 

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Green of Payson, AZ, two sisters, Carolyn Smith of Centreville, MD and Joan Savrock of Mill Hall, PA, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Daughenbaugh.

Visitation will be held on March 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. 

A memorial service will be held on March 26 at 8 p.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Ken Sherwood officiating.  Burial will be in Schenck’s Cemetery

Memorials can be made to the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.
