CLEARFIELD – Legal expenses regarding the case between Clearfield Borough Council and Clearfield Borough Mayor Patty Gilliland were discussed at Thursday night’s borough committees meeting.
The finance committee approved recommending to council the expenditure of $1,950 to solicitor Kim Kesner’s office. Of that amount, $1,612.50 was due to the litigation issues between the mayor and council.
Clearfield Borough Operations Manager Leslie Stott stated that the expense of $1,612.50 was for the month of June.
It was also discussed that council is required to pay up to $2,500 of the mayor’s litigation fees, as the mayor cannot use the borough’s solicitor and must provide her own.
