CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc., its Centers for Active Living, and co-sponsor Colonial Courtyard of Clearfield are preparing for their annual Summer Celebration. The event will take place on August 20, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Lawrence Hall, 321 Mill Road, Clearfield. Individuals 50 years of age and older should especially enjoy this event.
This year’s theme will be a “Polka Fest”. Music will be provided by The Vagabonds. There will also be games, plenty of door prizes and lots of fun and ethnic food.
The meal will be catered by Down River Catering featuring a Polish touch to a special menu of chicken, stuffed cabbage, pierogies, halupki, California melody vegetable blend, dessert, and beverages.
Grab your dancing shoes and your favorite polka outfit and plan on a summertime fun day. Several prizes will be awarded for those dressed in ethnic costumes.
There is an admission price of $6/person. Admission tickets may be obtained in the following ways: picking them up at the Clearfield, Coalport, Karthaus, Kylertown, and Mahaffey Centers for Active Living, Colonial Courtyard of Clearfield or at the CCAAA office at 103 North Front Street in Clearfield. Tickets must be purchased before noon on August 7.
