CLEARFIELD – At the request of township residents, PennDOT District 2 is placing a radar controlled speed display sign today along state Route 350 in Rush Township. The sign will be located near the Glass City intersection, south of Philipsburg. The speed display sign will remain on location for about two weeks and will register the speeds of vehicles traveling on SR 350.
The speed display sign uses radar to determine the speeds of oncoming traffic. Those vehicle speeds are then posted on the lighted section of the sign. Above the speed display is a speed limit sign showing the posted speed limit for that section of SR 350.
The Pennsylvania State Police will monitor the section of SR 350 where the speed display sign is located.
