DUBOIS – Sandy Township Supervisor Dave Sylvis repeated what he had read in the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisor’s magazine’s most recent edition that the Pennsylvania state government will be eating up most of the incoming money from the stimulus bill.
This doesn’t mean that will not be indirect trickling down to municipalities. Township Manager Dick Castonguay announced earlier in the evening that the township was awarded roughly another $33 thousand toward Community Development Block Grant funds.
This wasn’t stated to be linked the stimulus bill, but was used as an example by the supervisors of how the stimulus money could still help out the township without directly coming to the township.
