Clearfield Hospital Announces First Baby of ’09

CLEARFIELD – The first baby born at the Armstrong Birthing Center of Clearfield Hospital in 2009 is Mychael Andrew Harper, son of Nick and Sara Harper of Clearfield.

Mychael was born Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at 1:42 p.m. He weighed 5 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 17 ½ inches long.

He was welcomed with gifts donated by the hospital and local businesses. Clearfield Bank & Trust Co., CNB Bank and Northwest Savings Bank each donated a savings bond. Zalno Jewelers donated a piggy bank, while Sandee’s Candies and Gifts gave a WillowTree New Life collectible. Siegel Engraving donated a trophy engraved with “First Baby Born at Clearfield Hospital 2009.”

The Clearfield Hospital Auxiliary Cottage Gift Shop donated an infant outfit, while the Pennsylvania Chapter – American Academy of Pediatrics provided a car seat. The Progress donated a three-month sub scri ption, Susie’s Fashions donated a gift certificate and Happy Events Photography – Images by Jan donated a free setting fee and 8×10 portrait.

Clearfield Hospital provided diapers, a quilt and infant items. Mychael is shown with his parents, his 1-year-old brother, Daniel, and Dr. Allan W. Ho. Mychael’s other siblings are Melvin, 13, and Raymond, 3.
