SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. – The Clearfield Area High School boys basketball team is No. 3 in the first RRR Roadhouse/D9Sports.com District 9 rankings for the 2008-09 season.
Coach Forrest Campman\’s undefeated Bisons (5-0) sit atop Class AAAA/AAA and trail only DuBois Central Christian (7-1) and Keystone (8-1) in the overall rankings.
DCC has lost only to Pittsburgh North Catholic, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette\’s Class AA No. 2 team, and handed Keystone its lone setback 68-63 in double-overtime.
The Curwensville boys (3-5) are ranked No. 4 in Class AA after moving up from Class A this season. The Golden Tide is looking up at Kane (6-3), Brockway (3-6) and Brookville (2-6).
In Class AAAA/AA girls, Clearfield girls (3-3) is No. 3 behind St. Marys (10-0) and Punxsutawney (3-6).
St. Marys is No. 1 overall, with Class A front-runner West Forest (8-0) second and Class AA leader Cranberry (6-2) third.
