PHILIPSBURG – Throughout the remainder of December and specifically around the Christmas and New Years holidays, the Philipsburg-based State Police will be conducting roving driving under the influence enforcement and checkpoints.
Police said that the special holiday weekend enforcement will be conducted in areas that have had higher than normal alcohol-related accidents and arrests. Police noted that site locations were determined from its statistical data.
Police will also set up speed enforcement details, targeting aggressive drivers along the primary roadways throughout the county during the holiday season.
