CURWENSVILLE – Because of the cancellation of classes Friday due to the winter storm forecast, the Curwensville Area High School wrestling team was not able to compete in the Redbank Valley Holiday Tournament.
Athletic director Allen Liegey\’s inquired about the possibility of the Golden Tide traveling to New Bethlehem Saturday, but tourney officials decided to go with the 12 teams that were avialable for the first rounds Friday evening.
Curwensville was one of several teams that had to drop out of the two-day event.
Liegey also announced that Curwensville\’s Friday home Moshannon Valley League boys basketball game with Moshannon Valley that was postponed earlier in the day has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 14.
