CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Police Department reported that a 6-year-old child by a Jeep suffered major injuries.
According to police the child was riding an electric powered Bella Razor scooter. Police stated that she pulled into the path of a Jeep driven by a Clearfield woman in the parking lot at Edgewood Apartments. The woman applied her breaks but was unable to stop before striking the child.
The girl was transported by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services. According to the police department the child suffered major injuries and is being treated at the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
The driver of the Jeep was uninjured.
Police are continuing their investigation into the accident.
