Stiner Road closure and detour begin Nov. 3
CLEARFIELD – Starting Monday, Nov. 3, a local detour will be in place on PennDOT’s Route 879/Lick Run bridge project in Lawrence Township. While project crews work to change the alignment of the Stiner Road and Route 879 intersection, Stiner Road (T-632) will be closed. During the closure, drivers will use Bloody Run Road/Jerry Run Road (T-623) as the detour to and from Route 879.
In order to close Stiner Road, a lane closure along Route 879 will be in place on Monday from 7am to 3pm. This lane restriction is necessary in order to place the barrier that will close off Stiner Road. Flaggers will be on-site to control the lane restriction. Drivers need to remain alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting Route 879 near the Stiner Road intersection.
PennDOT expects this detour to remain in place through summer 2009.
PennDOT reminds motorists to obey detour directions, move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limit signs and always buckle up.
