CLEARFIELD – A 37-year-old New Jersey man was arrested and placed in Clearfield County Jail on Wednesday for trademark counterfeiting.
Clearfield-based state police stopped a car driven by Travis Denny on Interstate 80 in Lawrence Township. During the stop several indicators of criminal activity were detected. After a consent to search the vehicle was obtained, police discovered counterfeit DVDs and $7,000 in cash.
All items were confiscated and Denny was arrested. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Hawkins and placed in CCJ in lieu of $25,000 straight bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 28.
