OSCEOLA MILLS – Osceola Mills Borough Council accepted the resignation of former council-member Betsy Mignot on Monday night.
Mignot tendered her resignation through a letter to council. In her letter Mignot cited her health as one of her concerns for resigning. Mignot also noted that after what she saw at a Feb. 12 emergency meeting of council, she felt uncomfortable sitting at the table because she feared what some people might do.
What that meant is not certain, as members of council did not address the letter. Council approved the resignation unanimously. The vacant seat must be filled within 30 days.
