Winter is finally upon us. Snow and wind hammered the county throughout the week, closing schools, services and roads. Clearfield County was not the only area affected, however, as roads and services across the state were hampered by inclement weather as well.
Snow and cold winds weren’t the only things making news in our part of Pennsylvania, however. DuBois had a busy week, with news of a new veterans’ center being announced, as well as a drug treatment facility getting a date for a public hearing on a proposed site in the City of DuBois. A fields project for the DuBois Area School District was approved, but there may be one hurdle left to overcome.
A Sunshine Act training seminar for local officials was announced this week. A recall of a childhood staple was announced nationwide, a Clearfield gym went to a 24/7 schedule, and an area woman accused of involuntary manslaughter had a court date this week.
Those were just some of the stories from the last week.
So get your parka on and strap on your mukluks, it’s time for the GantDaily Weekly Reload.
