PENN. – PennDOT Districts in Northeastern and East Central Pennsylvania continue to report problems due to a major winter storm. At this hour the following road are closed:
-Interstate 78 is closed east and westbound from PA 100 in Lehigh County and PA 61 in Berks County.
-Interstate 80 Eastbound Remains Closed at Lime Ridge.
PA State Police and PennDOT are working to move traffic sitting on Interstate 80 eastbound, from the vicinity of Tank in Luzerne County, backed-up into Columbia County.
-I-80 eastbound lanes remain closed between Route 11 and Luzerne County at this hour.
Once the backed-up traffic is moving, the eastbound lanes will be reopened. I-80 eastbound is expected to be reopened within the next hour or so. Travel is moving very slowly throughout the area and motorists are encouraged to limit driving if possible.
