CURWENSVILLE — A rare scholastic girls-boys doubleheader is the result of the postponement of Wednesday night\’s Moshannon Valley Girls League game between Curwensville and Glendale due to school closings because of snow.

Thursday night\’s action will pit the Lady Tide against the Lady Vikings at six o\’clock and the Golden Tide against the Vikings at approximately 7:30, according to Curwensville athletic director Allen Leigey.

Curwensville fans are reminded the South Division champion Lady Tide will be playing North Division winner Elk County Catholic for the Allegheny Mountain League title Saturday at the DuBois Middle School at 6 p.m.

The nightcap will be the much-anticipated rematch between DuBois Central Catholic of the South Division and Elk County Catholic of the North Division. DCC handed the defending PIAA Class A champions their only defeat in a 69-68 thriller at St. Marys on Jan. 26.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students.
