The Gant Daily athlete of the week for the week of January 29 through February 5 is former Clearfield star wrestler Matt Kyler.
This past week saw Kyler go 4-0 to up his season record to a team leading 28-7. Kyler, representing the United States Military Academy, won the 13th Annual All-Academy Wrestling Championships held at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.
There were other notable accomplishments this week as well:
Nick Sipes passed his brother Nate as the winningest wrestler in Curwensville history. Sipes notched his 111th and 112th wins.
Chelsey DuFour won 2 individual events and was on 2 winning relay teams in each of Clearfield swimming\’s 2 dual meet victories this past week.
