The Gant Daily Athlete of the Week for January 22 through January 28 is West Branch basketball player Chris Dotts.

The Warriors had two big Juniata Valley League wins this past week. In a 61-43 blow out of Claysburg-Kimmel, Dotts scored 24. In a revenge game against Glendale, Dotts poured in 33.

Honorable mention for the week goes to the one-two punch of Dani Struble and Jackie White. The duo led the Curwensville Lady Tide to a 3-0 week. Struble led with 57 points on the week, while White chipped in 42.

Honarable mention also goes out to Ciara Strickland and Megan Witherow for winning North Central District titles in the Elks Hoop Shoot.

Also of note this past week was the 23 point game by Clearfield\’s Julianna Howell in a 76-39 pasting of Ridgway. Howell tied her career high with the effort.
