WOODLAND – A two-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 in Bradford Township on Sunday night left three passengers severely injured.

Clearfield-based state police reported that a 21-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle on the wet roadway. The vehicle traveled onto the north berm and then back onto the roadway. A vehicle driven by 47-year-old Fred Miles Jr. was also traveling on I-80. He attempted to steer out of the way of other vehicle but was unable to do so, resulting in the woman’s vehicle striking his truck.

Two of the passengers in the first vehicle were ejected from the vehicle during the accident. Those two passengers, along with a third, were transported to Clearfield Hospital with severe injuries. They were then taken to Altoona Regional Medical System for treatment.

The man driving the truck, the car operator and one other passenger were not injured.

Police were assisted at the scene by Bradford Township Volunteer Fire Company, QRS 16, Clearfield Emergency Medical Services, and State MedEvac ground crew.
