DUBOIS – After some asking by residents, Sandy Township is going to PennDOT to ask that a study be done regarding traffic on U.S. Route 322.
Now, the speed in most of the township is 55 mph, and residents told Sandy Township’s engineer that was too fast.
Perry Bowser said there have been several accidents in the area in question, and such requests for lower speed limits have been made in the past.
“This isn’t the first request we’ve had on that section of highway,” he said.
The township will send a letter to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the entity in charge of the federal road.
