ALLPORT — The Curwensville Area High School wrestling team climbed above .500 for the first time this season by defeating host West Branch 51-24 Thursday night.
The Golden Tide, 3-2, got falls from Jeff Thomas at 130 pounds, Nick Sipes at 189 and Nathan Russell at 215 and a decision by Matt Holland at 152, while Brett Sutika at 119, Brett McCracken at 145, Jarrett Sloppy at 160, Jesse Hoover at 171 and Derek Brothers 103 received forfeits.
The Golden Tide will host Clarion Tuesday.
