CLEARFIELD – A Curwensville woman appeared in court on Wednesday for her role in a drug distribution ring that was busted last spring.
Sue Zortman waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, as well as related charges.
According to court documents, investigators served a warrant on the residence of Zortman and another defendant in the case, Robert Prisk in May 2005. While there, Zortman is alleged to have told officers that she was involved in the drug distribution with Prisk. She told officers that she helped Prisk separate marijuana into smaller bags for delivery.
The documents read that Zortman showed investigators where drugs and paraphernalia were located in the residence as well. Investigators also found cash and a handgun.
Zortman is free on unsecured bail after an emergency bail reduction was granted by Clearfield County President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman.
