CLEARFIELD – PennDOT District 2 began emergency work Friday on a sink hole adjacent to the College Township, Centre County, bike path.
Workers and equipment will be in place and on site through the next three weeks. The work on the sink hole makes it necessary to close a portion of the bike path, which is adjacent to Slab Cabin Run Creek.
Motorists may also experience intermittent traffic stoppages along Puddintown Road when movement of work materials and equipment is necessary. Drivers should move through the work area with caution. Flaggers will be in place along Puddintown Road.
The contractor on the $85,570 project is H.R.I. Inc.
PennDOT thanks bikers, walkers and motorists for their patience during this work and reminds drivers to be cautious and alert, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
