REYNOLDSVILLE – An early-morning fire at a residence in Reynoldsville sent two to the hospital and left two dead according to DuBois-based state police.
Emergency crews responded at 12:25 a.m. Thursday morning to 635 Cooper Road for structure fire. State police were the first on scene, according to the report, to find the two-story structure fully engulfed in flames.
Two juvenile survivors were found outside. One was flown to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh and the other to DuBois Regional Medical Center, and later airlifted to the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. A status was not given on the two youths.
At this time an investigation is under the lead of the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigation Unit, The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall’s Unit, and Jefferson County Coroner Bernard P. Snyder regarding the two victims that were not able to escape the residence and ultimately perished as a result of the fire.
Other responders at the scene were the Falls Creek, DuBois, Clearfield Station 38, Reynoldsville and Warsaw Fire Departments.
