HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s redesigned Driver and Vehicle Services Web site, www.dmv.state.pa.us now offers more information and is easier to navigate.
“After ensuring public safety, PennDOT’s highest priority has always been to provide the best possible service to every customer,” said PennDOT Secretary Allen D. Biehler, P.E. “Based on feedback from customers who have used our Web site, we have added additional driver and vehicle services information, and have made it easier to understand and navigate.”
The new, user-friendly Web site features 17 information centers that have been designed to answer questions and help customers who wish to conduct online transactions.
Some examples include:
— The Teen Drivers Information Center can help a teen driver wanting information on how to obtain a learner’s permit or parents looking for tips on how to help their teen safely learn the rules of the road.
— An individual who has had a driver’s license stolen or has lost a vehicle registration card should visit the Replacement Information Center to obtain the necessary information and forms for a duplicate license or registration.
— The Moving Information Center will help new residents to Pennsylvania get pertinent information and forms about titling and registering a vehicle in the commonwealth and how to obtain a driver’s license and/or photo identification card.
— A business looking for information about working with PennDOT should visit the Business Partner Information Center.
— A customer looking to add the organ donor designation to a driver’s license should visit the Online Services Information Center to complete this or any other available online transactions.
Through the Web site, PennDOT services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Customers may use the site to renew driver’s licenses, photo IDs and vehicle registrations, as well as schedule a driver’s test or request an online history of their driving record. There are no extra fees for transactions conducted via the Web site.
PennDOT continually strives to make information and services readily available to all customers. Visitors to the new site are encouraged to provide feedback via the “Take a Survey” link located at the bottom of the home page.
