York — The Frenchville Her-a-canes got off to a great start at the Keystone Games in York, PA on Thursday.
They white-washed the Middletown Magic 8-0 in a game shortened to 5 innings by the mercy rule.
Holly Lansberry picked up the complete game victory. She allowed only 1 hit and struck out 9 batters.
Frenchville picked up 2 runs in the first inning without the aid of a hit to take an early lead they would never relinquish.
Alanna Luzier hit a home run to lead the offense.
Frenchville will continue with pool play on Friday at 8:00 AM versus the Mountaintop Extreme and then play their final pool game at 2:00 PM against the Mt. Union Sidewinders.
Due to some teams dropping out of the tournament, the original schedule was changed.
