CURWENSVILLE – Seats are still available for “Yesterday’s Memories, Tomorrow’s Hope,” a benefit gala hosted by Clearfield Hospital Hospice.
The event is scheduled for 5-9 p.m. July 22 at Starr Hill Winery & Vineyard along Bailey Road in Curwensville.
Dinner will be catered by Luigi’s Ristorante of DuBois and includes a variety of items, such as pork rosemary, carved roast beef, pasta, sauces, fruit and more. Red and white wine will be provided at each table, as well as specialized wine glasses for each person attending. The winery will be open for wine tasting and purchases with a portion of the sales earmarked for hospice.
Comedian Ralph Roe of Pittsburgh is scheduled to perform. For more information on Roe, visit www.comedycity.com/ralphroe. Saxophone player Roger Force of DuBois will provide music. Speaking at the event will be Ame Wagner, home health and hospice director for Clearfield Hospital.
Hospice provides care to terminally ill patients, offering pain and symptom management. Psychological, emotional and spiritual support is given to patients and their families. Services are provided to all patients regardless of their ability to pay. Monies raised from the event will be used toward providing extra care to patients in their homes and purchasing needed items for the patients that are not covered by health insurance.
