CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County DUI Strike Force conducted a driving under the influence patrol looking for people who were driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances during the July Fourth weekend.
Officers from Clearfield Borough, DuBois City, Morris-Cooper Regional and the Lawrence Township police departments as well as troopers from the state police conducted the roving patrols.
Police arrested three people for DUI, one for an outstanding warrant and one person for a probation/parole violation. Police issued several summary traffic citations, two non-traffic violations and gave numerous warnings for equipment violations.
The checkpoints and roving patrols will continue weekly in Clearfield County through 2006.
